Short update on J.O.I VR beta-game — June, 0.7 (in progress)

Hi! Long silence — yes, there was a pause, but work resumed and I’m aiming to release version 0.7 in June.
Main focus — skin. I recreated the skin shader from scratch: a much more advanced material that removes the old “plastic” look and produces significantly more natural skin in-scene. This matters especially in VR, where close presence and lighting reveal skin quality — I focused on making the skin hold up at close range and under different lighting.
What’s coming in 0.7
- Customization adapted to the new shader: appearance options reworked to work correctly with improved skin (textures, skin tones, spec/gloss, brows/lips, etc.).
- Minor animation and physics tweaks so poses and movement blend better with the new visuals.
- Stability and performance work for VR — prioritizing smoothness at higher render quality.
